Jacksonville Senior Pictures: Amelia Packard

I don’t make it back to Jacksonville, where I grew up, quite as often as I’d like but it’s been a joy to start to pick up some shoots down there when I DO make it back these days!

You may remember last fall’s Christmas card session in Friendship Park, and the backdrop for today’s highlighted shoot, Amelia’s senior session, will probably be a little familiar. (Just without the dramatic storm clouds looming over the horizon this time, ha.)

Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away, I actually used to babysit for Amelia! That was obviously quite some time ago, but the history made it even more fun to photograph Amelia today, as she goes into her senior year at Episcopal High School, where I actually graduated.

We met up at Friendship Park in Jacksonville, Florida at the crack of dawn (literally, the sun was just starting to come up) for her senior portrait mini-session, and the light was goooorgeous. It can be so hard to get up that early this time of year to catch that soft and dreamy light, but I’m so grateful to Amelia and her mom Kristen for being willing to set those alarms and pour out the coffee!

We did two different outfits along the Riverwalk and the park, but of course we threw in a couple portraits with a college t-shirt as well. Amelia has her eye on Liberty University, and I can’t wait to see where her life’s journey takes her next and what adventures are in store. Amelia, it was so much fun photographing you! Enjoy your senior year, it’s going to fly by.
