Charleston Event Photography: Chablis Challenge in Charleston
I'm so excited to share some of my recent Charleston event photography on the blog today! I've had the pleasure of working with Sopexa, a global communication agency that offers integrated campaigns for food and beverage products, for several events. Last week, I covered the Chablis Challenge in Charleston, SC, at beloved local restaurant Herd Provisions. The Chablis Challenge was a unique wine industry event where the attending wine experts engaged in team challenges, enhanced their knowledge of Chablis wines, and immersed themselves in the region's rich history and diverse terroirs. Guests mingled and snacked on a gorgeous charcuterie spread before the immersive learning experience began. The afternoon ended with a blind-tasting challenge and prizes, and everyone had a lovely time.
If you're unfamiliar with Chablis, as I was, Chablis is the northernmost Appellation d'origine contrôlée of the Burgundy region in France. The cooler climate produces wines with increased acidity and less fruitiness than Chardonnay vines grown in warmer ones.
As with most Charleston event photography, my task was not just to take pretty pictures of the setup, wines, and guests. I love telling the story of a live event, and in this case, it was also important to create strong visual content to support the agency in documenting their activation, signage, and attendee engagement with branded marketing materials. I love a mult-faceted challenge, and this event was the highlight of my week.
