Isle of Palms Family Portrait: The Schauferts

Does anything compare to a warm summer sunset with your family? There's something special about golden hour on the beach, especially for an Isle of Palms family session!

When the Shauferts first contacted me in search of an Isle of Palms photographer, it was immediately clear that they were more celebrating the milestones of life than just looking for a traditional family portrait.

Their session was actually a gift to a family member, and I think everyone appreciates togetherness and making shared memories just a little bit more now that the pandemic is behind us! (Not that teaching your parents how to use Zoom wasn't a total blast, am I right?)

And, where better to kick off an overdue family reunion than Isle of Palms? Isle of Palms, lovingly known to Charleston locals as IOP, is a barrier island off the coast of South Carolina that is home to a vibrant beach community and Wild Dunes Resort. In addition to the gorgeous rental properties and long stretch of sandy shore, Isle of Palms is home to great restaurants, bars, and stores. It's also only minutes from Mount Pleasant and historic downtown Charleston.

The Isle of Palms beaches are beautiful, especially during golden hour and in the company of your loved ones. We captured just about every combination of the Schaufert family that we could think of, plus some adorable candid moments between the little girls and their loved ones.

I hope their family will enjoy these photos for decades to come, and I hope we can do it again next time they return to Charleston! Thank you to the Schauferts for such a delightful evening behind the lens; everyone was so sweet.
