This lil shoot is so dear to my heart as a Charleston branding photographer!

I'm blessed to not only work on the Grit & Grace Studio marketing team as a content creator but to work with them in an additional capacity as a freelance photographer.
When it came to brainstorming this year's marketing imagery for our holiday campaign, they really let me get creative, take the reins, and run with it.
So, I present to you Sandy, our Elf on a Shell!
If you're not familiar with Grit & Grace Studio, it's a woman-owned small business based in Charleston, South Carolina. Grit & Grace Studio makes oyster ring dishes, blessing beads, oyster shell ornaments, and other handcrafted shell gifts, along with jewelry. Their Flagship store at 125 King Street also carries a beautiful array of handmade products by local makers, female artisans, and other small businesses.
Because so many of our products are, well, small, it made sense to go with a miniature, mischievous Elf on a Shell. I wanted to photograph him with not only the signature products available on the online store, but it was also a priority to capture him wreaking havoc among the in-store exclusive items to bolster foot traffic during retail's busiest and most lucrative season.
We created a visual campaign to showcase our best-selling holiday gifts that is also fun, engaging, and humorous for the viewer.
