South Carolina Branding Photography: Duck Bottom

I'm so excited to finally share one of my favorite photoshoots as a South Carolina branding photographer from 2021: Duck Bottom!

So often, my best work never actually makes it up on my blog because I just get too excited about it. I tell myself it'll take forever to select which images to share, so I put it off and off until the next thing you know, it's a year later. Anyhow, my goal for 2022 is to stay a little more on top of things, so here we go!

Duck Bottom is a breathtaking property owned by Southern Concepts. Billed as an exclusive outdoor escape, Duck Bottom rests on 1,500 gorgeous acres along 3.5 miles of the Wateree River in Horation, South Carolina. The rustic yet elegant lodge offers visitors exceptional hospitality and a luxurious place to kick back and relax between outdoor excursions. Thanks to a unique mix of pine forests, lowlands, swamps, ponds, mixed grasses, fields, and wildlife food plots, Duck Bottom offers guests the opportunity to kayak, hike, hunt, and enjoy shooting sports.

When I approached Duck Bottom's branding photography with Squeeze Marketing and the team at Southern Concepts, it quickly became clear that we'd need to tell the story of the place and try to capture its magic, as well as document the guest rooms and provide imagery for their new website.

And what a fun challenge it was! There is something absolutely bewitching about Duck Bottom. From a misty historic burial ground in the pine forest to the manicured garden teeming with delicate roses and juicy strawberries, there were so many stories to tell just on the grounds alone.

And inside the lodge, the plush leather sofas, inviting fireplace, striking antler chandeliers, and stately rooms were a joy to document. I seriously think I could have spent days trying to capture every detail and the unique vibe, which seamlessly blends lavish hospitality with familiar, cozy comfort.

At Duck Bottom, you somehow feel as though you're being treated to the experience of a lifetime and as if you've finally come home.

I hope you enjoy these images even half as much as I enjoyed taking them. A heartfelt thank you to both Squeeze Marketing and the incredible team at Duck Bottom for this fabulous opportunity. This was, hands down, one of my favorite shoots in the last several years!
